Raven Ridge Owners Weigh In; No HDMI 2.0 Support??

With the Raven Ridge release, I am finally looking to upgrade my HTPC from an aging A10-7850K to something a bit more modern.

Unfortunately, none of the currently available motherboards are listing HDMI 2.0 support for processor graphics, which is a definite requirement on any decent HTPC.

As the responses I have received from Gigabyte and AMD regarding this omission are a bit conflicting (responses to follow), I am hoping someone with a Raven Ridge system on hand would be willing to connect to a 4K TV/Monitor and give a definitive answer:
Does Raven Ridge support HDMI 2.0 and 4K 60hz 4:4:4?

Any conformation, one way or the other, would be greatly appreciated!

Gigabyte's Response
Thank you for your request.
We are pleased about your interest in GIGABYTE products.

Theoretically, it should be able to support HDMI 2.0. However, the AMD chipset drivers are NOT ready for such support, and AMD has not cooperated with other software vendors, in order to support HDMI 2.0 spec.

AMD's Response
I understand that you want to know future HDMI 2.0 support with Ryzen 5 with Vega graphics on the current motherboards. If this is incorrect, please let me know as the information provided may change.

Please be kindly note that the function achieve depends on the motherboard and we don’t have relevant information about the future driver support. You can subscribe to our homepage to obatain the latest news and updates from AMD.

My understanding is that the APU handles all the heavy lifting; you only need a HDMI port wired up to it.
As there is no difference electrically between a HDMI 1.4 (advertised as available on current motherboards) and HDMI 2.0 port, it should come down to the APU capabilities and BIOS/driver support.

Gigabyte support confirmed to me that the hardware is capable of supporting HDMI 2.0, but that AMD'S driver support is lacking.

AMD support then passes the HDMI 2.0 support question back to motherboard manufacturers and offers no information on additional driver requirements (albeit, the driver question is not clearly answered in their response).

Assuming that Raven Ridge supports HDMI 2.0 internally, which I find to be highly likely, the question is so:

Do the current motherboards really only support HDMI 1.4 (as either an artificial limitation or due to in-development drivers), or is it currently capable of driving a 4K display at 60hz and full 4:4:4 chroma subsampling?
If HDMI 2.0 is not available on 300 series motherboards, is support planned with a future driver release, or is it being limited to drive sales of the upcoming 400 series motherboards?

As it really would be silly for AMD to block themselves out of the HTPC and digital signage market, I would like to assume that HDMI 2.0 support is already there.
That said, I am not willing to buy until I can confirm this as a lack of HDMI 2.0 support would render the hardware unsuitable for the intended purpose.

If possible, it would be great if an AMD rep. could give a quick comment, or if any owners could confirm one way or the other with a quick test!
