Razer Blackwidow 2013 installation problem

hey,
I just bought my blackwidow 2013 and it arrived today.
I plugged in to the pc but nothing from the keys worked So I was thinking "This is probably because I need to install synapse". I installed synapse and synapse says to me "Please connect a razer synapse 2.0 enabled device".
I reinstalled synapse but I still got the same message again. I plugged al my ports on the front of my case (I think that they aren't powered).
Some specs of my pc:
Intel quad core 2
geforce gt210
motherboard to lazy to see on cpu z
It was a 1000€ pc from hp 4 or 5 years ago.
Can anybody help me, I googled this and alot of people have this problem with synapse.

I hooked up mine today with the same thing. I plugged it in, Windows popped up a notification bubble that Razer had detected a Blackwidow Ultimate 2013. It didn't light up, and none of the keys worked. So I switched ports, still nothing. Then I hard reset my computer with my case button, and when it restarted, everything worked fine.
