Razer Cortex Overclock

So I use Razer Cortex for games like CS:GO so I can squeeze that extra 10 fps out of it, and I thought, how does it do that ? My guess was that it was overclocking my processor. Does anyone know anything more about this???

my guess would be its shutting down unneeded background processes

had software from maybe msi to do similar --cant quite remember if it was msi or not

its also possibly applying what it thinks are the right game settings like geforce experience does

yeah my first guess was right

though with a decent modern pc that has adequate resources it probably wont make any difference in game
