Hi,

Got a Razer Deathadder 2013 a couple of days ago but having a problem with it and wondered if anyone else has had the same thing and what to do about it?

Basically the mouse wheel can be slightly clicked to the right (which I know on some mice is a feature but dont think its meant to be on this one and it won't click left?) and can sometimes stick there and need to be popped back over to the 'middle'. When it clicks right it activates whatever is bound to pressing down the mouse scroll button so I initially thought this was an extra option, but I've looked about and not found any mention of it anywhere.

Thanks for any advice you can give, I have read of reliability issues and problems with the support so I am not very optimistic.

my older deathadder is in perfect working order however "clicks" right as you suggest while not clicking left. my guess would be down while you think its clicking left it also clicks down at the same time essentially being a scroll wheel click not a side to side click.

to be honest.... i never was aware of this until you just mentioned it now but i'm sure its been like this since i bought it (which was years ago) so it doesnt really affect reliability. while browsing the web if you click the mouse wheel down (or what you call a scroll wheel right click) you get a circle on screen with arrows that doesnt go away until you click another mouse button. this is not the button sticking but a feature of windows itself.

i'd verify that isnt your issue first as button sticking is different. if you map it to a function... it comes up...you exit and go to another function while not touching the button at all and it comes back. or if it was set to a letter key and it repeated nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn for example.

razer is a crap company for sure but the deathadder is one product i feel they have done good with. while i hate the new version (mainly since i hate synapse 2.0) the design is about as reliable as any other top end mice are.

Hey, thanks for replying :)

Yeah the click to the right indeed works just the same as if I were clicking down, sometimes it re-centers on its own sometimes it sticks. When it sticks it repeats the letter(given that i have assigned a letter to that function) just as you described until I click it back to the middle. Like you have said its maybe not a major issue but I would was just a little concerned when I have only just got the mouse what else was going to happen.
