Razer Kraken 7.1 Chroma LED mic issue

I just received my razer kraken 7.1 chroma headset. The LED light turns ON when the mic is OFF, and turns OFF when the mic is ON. Isn't it supposed to be the opposite? I tried reinstalling the device, but it still does this. I emailed Razer support, but considering its the weekend, I may not get a quick response? Any ideas how to fix this..?

Did you try to change the usb port? Have you installed Razer Synapse?

Yes, I tried using the headset on both my desktop and laptop. The LED light is still an issue, and even through Razer Synapse, when I check the mute box, the mic lights up and when I uncheck it the light goes off.

You can try to contact the seller and also it would be good if you register that device for warranty. You can do that by pressing the email adress at the upper right corner of Razer Synapse then pressing Warrant Status and then Add Product.

Thats normal Its only there to show if the mic is muted or not, if its muted it will show red

Yeah that's right ! but I have another problem 😀
I think it's bad to have mic always enabled so the problem is that I want mic to be muted and enable it when it's necessary but if I mute it , it will turn on the red light that bothers me because I have glasses and it shows the red light on the glasses ! :|
I've just disabled the mic from "Windows Recording Devices" to have it muted without showing the red light .

Does anyone know any other way to do that without disabling the mic from the recording devices ?
Also is it really bad to have mic always enabled ?! (because it all time receives sound)

Thats normal Its only there to show if the mic is muted or not, if its muted it will show red

The mic is meant to be light by the LED when being used/not muted, Go look at youtube reviews and you will see that the mic is white/blue when being used (i thought it was RGB with the ear pieces)

Side note im having the same issue

I don't know what you've seen on youtube but LED should light up when mic is MUTED .
I think reviews you have seen were about former krakens (2014) which didn't have RED LED (it was blue or purple , etc) and maybe LED must have been lighten up when the mic was enbaled .

But in Kraken 7.1 Chroma 2015 from the IMPORTANT PRODUCT INFORMATION GUIDE (which is in your razer kraken 7.1 chroma's box or on the website) :

The mic mute LED will light up in red when the microphone is muted .

So there is no problem with that but I said what my problem is 😀

I said it was blue or purple, etc (You can consider that White !) and when the mic was enabled, the LED was lighting !
But now the LED is RED and when the mic is muted the LED will light up !

The mic lighting only works for the standard Razer Kraken 7.1, not the 7.1 Chroma. I'm not entirely sure why, but it happens.

Just to clarify : It only works on the Razer Kraken 7.1, not the Razer Kraken 7.1 CHROMA.
