OK, I just purchased the Razer Kraken 7.1s and I noticed that there was a hissing noise in the background. The Krakens are completely usb and I have tried using all other ports on my pc and I even tried them on a different pc and the hissing noise was still there. If anyone has experience or knows how to fix this problem any of your help would be gratefully appreciated!

Well I have a motherboard with EMI shielding, but I still have the hissing noise. It's not the motherboard that is causing this. Link to motherboard: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4966#ov

My home is allready grounded. The headset is "boosted" to much.

Well I still have the hissing noise on another computer without Razer Synapse, and without Razer Synapse I can't controll my keyboard (Razer blackwidow ultimate chroma)

Hey guys, i figured out something that solve my hissling problem!!

go to > Sound > Recording, and check up your Input entries... one of then MAYBE are a onboard microfone who is making a lot of noise, even if it's unable, then make it able, turn down the volumes of ALL unused inputs and test it!

Worked for me, really hope it helps someone!

This solution works perfectly!!! Just put the lightning on static and the hissing goes away!! Nice done

I have this same EXACT problem (72 volume). Found a fix, yet?

Hey there.
I gave the headset to a friend of mine to test it, he didn't hear a thing on his rig for some reason...
in the end he bought them and i got a hyperx cloud for myself.
my ears are just fine now!!!!!!

Hi, U can fix the problem real easy with the beeping sound by going to playback devices and right click on ur headset device and go to properties then go to advanced you will see Defualt formal and changed ur channel 2channel , 16bit , 48000hz (dvd quality) and the you won't hear the beep sound no more

Alright so here is what you can do on Windows 7. Go into the Control Panel and click on Hardware and Sound, then open the Sound tab. then go to Playback, find your Headset and open its properties, then go to Enhancements and find the option of "Low Frequency Protection" enable it and press the big "Apply" button at the bottom. Let me know if that works! :wahoo:
