Razer Surround not sure if working?

So a friend was telling me how awesome surround sound was, and me only having a stereo headset found the razer surround software. They gave me a free upgrade to pro so i wanted to try it out.

First off, let me get some things out the way. I have an external sound card (Soundblaster X-FI 5.1 pro. The headset im using is the turtle beaches z2's.

When I go to select the razer surround audio controller in my sound options and test the surround nothing plays through my headset. it shows that somethings being played through the sound options but it doesnt reach my headset. I went in the razer program and made it so my sound blaster x-fi speakers are the audio interface, sound comes out now but i feel like the surround isnt working. when i goto calibrate the sound i dont feel any changes happening, nothing happens in the equalizer either. is there any way to fix this?

What games are you trying to use it for? Most modern games already mix the positional audio to headphones if you select the headphone option. Audio filters like that one tend to be quite fickle, and you'll probably spend more time than it's worth trying to set it up.
