RC 64bit on HP hdx 16 1140us

Hey I recently set up a dual boot with vista64 and win 7 RC 64.
I'd like to know if anyone else has the hp hdx 1140us laptop and had any luck finding all the drivers?

So far I installed the graphics driver from nvidia


It looks like it runs alot faster than vista.
Somehow when downloading most files I get 1mbps on win 7 It's a big improvement over the 300kpbs I usually get on vista.

Also what virus software are you guys are using in win 7 and do you know if any internet security programs like Norton or Kaspersky work?

As a near universal rule, anything that works on Vista workson 7.

As far as AV - I'm using NOD

Alright I'll try out some vista drivers.
It seems like drivers made for 7 would be more stable though.
Im just wondering why they would make a driver for vista and another for 7 if the vista would work as well?

The driver model between Vista and 7 is the same, so in this case it's just a certification deal.

Check in Device Manager for flags. 7 is pretty darned good about getting what it needs. You may not need to do much/anything.

well I don't see any flags but some of the features on the laptop don't work like the fingerprint reader, keyboard controls, remote, pretty much all the pre loaded HP stuff..
I don't really care about the stuff since I'm using the laptop at a desk with a hdmi chord to a seperate monitor, and an external keyboard and mouse.

I was just looking if anyone else had the same laptop and any suggestions really, but I will try some vista drivers now and let you know how they work.
