Hey guys, my PC just broke ... so I am rebuilding one with parts of 3 different older computer for now. I putted 8GB in it (CMP8GX3M2B1333C9) and it is working fine but I also have another kit (TW3X4G1333C9A) and I was wondering if it would help or not to get extra speed ?

The PC is an i7 2600 @ 3.40GHz Sandy Bridge 32nm Tehcnology
Moterhboard : Dell 0Y2MRG
Graphic card : An old ATI ADM Radeon HD 6950

Thanks !

Hard to say, the two kits have the same speed and same CL numbers, so they should work fine together, but you won't know for certain until you try it out.

Most games still are fine with 8GB, but some are starting to exceed it, so, if you have the RAM lying around, and it plays nicely with what's installed already, then there's no reason not to add it.

If you plan to do any serious gaming, then a video card upgrade might be advised. However, the Vostro 460/XPS 8300 (those are the systems that motherboard is found in, I believe) hasn't had an update to the BIOS in a while, so it might be fussy about working with newer video cards.
