re- installing outlook express

every time I launch outlook express - I get a clock symbol and the program
stalls - I want to reinstall it , I've reinstalled service pack 2 , but it
does exactly the same - any ideas ??

Try running System File Checker. Pop your XP CD into the drive and exit the
install screen. Then go to Start->Run and type the following and click OK:

sfc /scannow

This should run system file checker which will scan for damaged system files
and replace them. It might take 10-20 minutes and unfortunately won't tell
you whether or not it found and fixed anything. When finished remove the CD
and reboot.
