Hello. I can really use the help of people in the know. I
have an 6 year old Celeron system with 2000Pro installed.
Time has resulted in a major slowing down of my system. I
read that a complete reinstalling of 2000 needs to be done
periodically. I have a dual partitioned 40G drive 10G &
30G. I have moved a lot of stuff to the 30G and want to
reinstall 2000Pro on the 10G (where it currently exists).
Instructions on PC World seem to be straight forward, but
I am unsure.

Can anyone give me direct advice or at least a good
refernce to read. I tried support.microsoft.com but it is
hard to find the knowledge base article.

Answer me here or at jcavallaro@nc.rr.com

Thanks to all.

Set your bios to boot from CD.
Delete the existing win2K partition when given the choice.
Quit setup (to avoid unexpected drive letter assignments)
Do the real install.

Hope this helps.
