I've had my current PC for about 3 1/2 years now. I recently got all of the parts to build a new one, except for the PSU. Since the price of power supplies is so high right now, I was just wondering if it would be fine to reuse the current power supply. It is a CS550M, and my new system will have about the same wattage as the old one. I know I wouldn't want to use it forever, but just until PSU prices drop.
Thanks,
Geekster

The CS550M was a decent PSU when it was released in 2012/13, so I am not sure if it has support for the C6/7 states. I don't believe it is a group managed PSU so that is good. It is an old platform that you will want to replace at some point. Basically for a little while it is probably better than a lot of PSUs that cost $60-80 right now.
