Ready boost on SSD

So basically I get the concept on how ready boost works, but is there a plateau? I bought an asus ultrabook that comes with a 24gb ssd stock, which I didnt realize until after I bought it that it was practically useless b/c the windows 8 os doesnt fit on it and my pc didn,t use it for anything when performing basic setup. So the other day i formatted it and wondered "what the hell am i gonna use a 24gb (internal) ssd for?" So i broked it into 5 partitions (~4.5GB each) and dedicated them all for ready boost.

1. Is this a good idea?
2. Will this significantly improve application/system startup?
3. Does having this much ready boost yield any benefit?
4. If this is not the best investment of this tiny ssd than what is?

Any information is much appreciated I am here to learn!

Solution
I assume you have a standard hard drive in the system along with the SSD. If your ultrabook is using an intel CPU, then it may support Intel SRT (drive caching). If your system supports it, you can use Intel SRT to use the whole 24GB SSD as a cache for your hard drive.
