Realistically, how long will the 1080ti last for 1440/165hz?

I recently purchased a 1440/165hz monitor for my new PC, and i'm going to get a 1080ti to go along with it. How long do you think it would last at this resolution and refresh rate? I'm obviously not expecting to be hitting 1440/165 in brand new AAA titles, but i'd like to be hitting at least 100+ for a while, even if i have to chuck some settings down to high.

It's hard to say, as we don't know how GPU-intensive future games will get. But you are getting the current top-of-the-line GPU for 1440p/144Hz+ (or 4K/60Hz), so, expect that GPU to handle 100++ fps for several years before new, significantly powerful GPUs (or games) come along that would necessitate an upgrade on your part.
