really bad internet

ok so id like to think i have a good download speed of around 50 mb/s at max and 2 mb/s download speed and around 20-50 ping but when my sister goes on the internet (idk what she's doing) my ping goes to 500 and up so its making it really hard to play games (near impossible) and since im 16 and she's 23 i cant really walk in and say "get off the internet"

Do you have QoS enabled on the router? If not, try enabling it.

Ask your parents to pay for a faster connection, or figure out a way to split your internet time up in a fair way with your sister. At 23 years old, one would think she would have her own place to live and her own internet connection to use, but I guess still living at home at 23 is acceptable this day in age. I couldn't even begin to imagine living at home until I was 23 years old.

You need to setup QOS on the router this is your only option to prevent bandwidth hogging. Also, if you are wireless try to get some ethernet to plugin direct you can get 100ft from newegg for 10 bucks.
