Hi everyone, so I recently bought a new pc with an Intel i5 2400 @ 3.1 Ghz. However, upon doing an UserbenchMark score i noticed that my CPU was performing really bad (1st percentile). I thought the CPU was damaged in someway and I decided to buy an i5 2500K @ 3.3 Ghz so that i could solve the problem. So after removing the old CPU and installing the new CPU i tried to run another UserbenchMark but I got poor CPU results again (1ste percentile AGAIN) here is the result of my test: http://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/6373764

Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?

What CPU cooler? Did you monitor temperature during the benchmark? If it is throttling to prevent overheating that is an easy answer to the problem.

Given the age of the computer, power could be an issue as well. Adding a GTX 1060 and K series CPU to a computer that wasn't intended to have either can push OEM power supplies to the limit. (Usually would result in crashing (or fire)) Not to mention that the max output of a power supply tends to drop with age.

I tried to play Black Ops II, CPU temp was around 60-65 degrees celsius in game. Benched with MSI afterburner. You could be right about the PSU, since its an 320 Watt PSU provided by HP. I already have a corsair 550Watt PSU laying in my closet but i'm waiting for my cable converter to arrive since it has an HP motherboard that isnt compatible with modern PSU's. Thanks for the Info, will wait for my order to arrive and see if it clears things up!
