Really low FPS, temps issue?

Hey there,
Lately I noticed I'm playing PUBG with REALLY low FPS. Between 25-40 most of the time. Unplayable.

Can it be a temps issue? I'm playing on a "MSI GE72VR 7RF Apache Pro" laptop with GTX 1060 + 16GB RAM + M2 SSD + i7-7700HQ.

I know PUBG isn't the best game to test since it's awfully optimized but still I used to play it with 60 or more sometimes. I'm running it at 1080p with everything in low and fullscreen (installed on SSD).

CPU and memory usage goes between 50 and 80%.

Also, what’s your setting in pubg all ultra? And your resolution.

Maybe you are running off the Igpu without knowing it.

High performance mode always, didn't change anything regarding "advanced settings" over there.

Maybe you are running off the Igpu without knowing it.

How can I know that?
/edit: I had "auto-select" in preferred graphics processor NVIDIA control panel. Changed it to "High-performance NVIDIA processor". Nothing changed at all, same FPS.

are you using the laptop screen or external monitor?
you can check the gpu usage, from msi afterburner and see which gpu got loaded. and if you can share your cpu and gpu loading during pubg, hopefully we can see where the bottleneck is.

i don't think intel uhd can reach 25-40 fps in minimum setting pubg. the fps seems exceed the capability of igpu, but seriously under performing as a 1060 dgpu.

Is that an issue from my particular laptop or is it common regarding gaming laptops? I'm using the "extra fan" mode ON all the time while playing.

Should I get those CoolerMaster with fans for laptops?

Don't know if its common for your laptop but heat is always a concern with gaming laptops. Unless you know what temperature it ran at when new you can't really say if its a new problem. You can try blowing out any dust with compressed air and a cooling mat may help. You can also try capping your game fps, it will reduce the cpu load.

I already capped framerate to 70 and it keeps pretty stable at that rate.

Your cpu is still dangerously hot hitting 99c on 2 cores. Have you tried cleaning any dust out?

Yeah, it's pretty new so it wasn't that dirty.
