Hello, fellas.

So... I have a Hero VII with 4790k and 16gb of DDR3 2400mhz Corsair ram.

My problem is... WHEN I can get into windows, the pc runs fine for days even with stress testing (even memtest with zero errors). BUT, when I change some settings in the bios or I turn it off for extended periods the system could start rebooting forever when its almost entering windows. The logo appears and right after the loading circle starts spinning, it reboots. I could load the bios settings to the defaults and everything, but nothing helps. Sometimes a full shutdown makes it go normal again, sometimes changing random bios settings can do the trick, but the real thing is...

What the heck could be causing this?

It's really frustrating, cause when it works, it does flawlessly.

Please help.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for your reply, Leslie25!

Bios already cleared and up to date, drivers up to date, settings already set to optimal. Tried everything you mentioned, just the reformatting not yet. Could be an OS problem, even working completely fine sometimes (when it passes the loading screen)?

Actually it's a hybrid drive. That Momentus XT from Seagate.

But it's worth a try! I'll give another drive a shot and see how it goes.

Thank you, guys! I'll report back asap!

Well, tried another hd and the same symptom occur. The problem may be the motherboard... Something related with an internal signal or command (or voltage) right before entering the OS. Anyway, after letting it reboot sometimes the system seems to overcome the problem by itself and starts to run normally again (weeeeeird). It's really annoying, cause if I want to do any overclock, it's almost impossible to isolate an instability caused by the oc only.

If I have anymore clues about the problem i'll report back here.

Thanks everyone for the input so far!
