hello everyone,
i just built a new computer last night and installed Shadow of Mordor into the morning, but I get about 24fps on lowest settings and basically nothing on anything higher. My audio (through my headset) also crackles pretty oddly. I think I've installed all of my drivers, and GeForce experience concurs, but I could be wrong.
My specs are:
GeForce GTX 980,
Intel 4core i7 4790k,
18gb Corsair Vengeance ram,
2tb 7200rpm hdd
Some other information that may effect the issue:
I only have four fans cooling this stuff (not including the three on the gigabyte g1 gtx 980's "windforce" thing),
one monitor is connected to the motherboard by VGA, and the other is connected to the GPU by a VGA to DVI-I adapter (i would fix this easily were it the issue, but it served me fine on my last gaming computer),

i really appreciate any help anyone is willing to give. i'm hoping to fix this quickly so i can stop stressing out and fearing that i've just wasted so much money. thanks :)

mmm you never mentioned your power supple. That is basically the one thing that can really bog ur system. With those specs I don't see how you can't be running them on high settings atleast

Have you made sure your power plan is not set to "power saving" or "balanced" or something like that as it is a new system. If it is, get it on "High performance."

Your PC should destroy all games!

Sorry if im being silly
