Realtek Digital Output (Optical) disappeared - Asus Z170 Pro Gaming

After a clean install of Windows 7 and flashing my Bios from v1105 (I think it was) to v1805 the Realtek Digital Output (Optical) is no longer in my Sound Control Panel.

This is what I am refering to how there is both Realtek Digital Output and Realtek Digital Output (Optical)
index.php

But I no longer have the (Optical) variant and that is the only that I use in order to achieve 5.1 surround.
I can't workout what has happened. I have tried reverting the Bios to any old version, using EZ Flash 3 on the Bios, and I'm getting the error saying "This file is not a proper bios." (Or something similar)
Does this Mobo not support that Sound Device like I'm used to?
Would the Bios flash have broken that device?

Thanks for any advice!

Specs:
Mobo - Asus Z170 Pro Gaming
CPU - Intel i5 6600K
RAM - Kingston 8GB
GPU - Nvidia GTX 670
Audio - Astro A40 w/ MixAmp Pro

**UPDATE**
This is what my Sound actually looks like as opposed to the above image.

Solution
Hello... YA I would be afraid to force it... from my "Lack" of experience with the UEFI BIO's\CMOS flashing yet. B /
Close this OP and me best answer B D... I will still see questions from you here too...

Try a NEW OP with "Flash Back MB BIOs/UEFI InstructionsAsus Z170 Pro Gaming " if ...that is what thee quests? ok?

Thanks for your time and efforts with me on this "wonderful" problem... talk again

Sorry I already have the Realtek Drivers installed I am just missing the Optical Device. I have the Realtek Digital Output device that is shown in the image, but I am missing the device that is below that (The Realtek Digital Output(Optical) Device).

Also that link was for the Z170-A, not the Z170 Pro Gaming which is what I have.

Sorry are you talking about the Realtek HD Audio Manager? That still does not have the Optical output.

I'm sorry you've lost me. I know how to set devices to default and all that. My problem is that the entire Realtek Digitial Output "(Optical)" device has disappeared from my settings.

Yeah I updated my BIOS to the latest version when I did a Clean install of Windows.
No, as shown in the second image that I have updated into the question, I still have the standard "Realtek Digital Output" device and the main Speaker device is still there. Its just the "Realtek Digital Output(Optical)" device that has gone missing on my computer.

In the Bios there is the HD Audio Controller setting, which is ON. But that single device is still missing.

But there is no Digital Output (Optical) to enable. That's the issue.

Yeah that's what I think. The only problem is that when I try to downgrade the BIOS to an older version is get an error saying "This file is not a proper BIOS!" I've also tried re-flashing the BIOS with the current version, this seems to be able to flash but it doesn't fix the problem.

No I used EZ Flash 3.

OK, how do I go about using a flashable USB?

Hello... Well... you seem educated in these matters... B D it's as simple as... the Correct way is to get the revision # off the MB... there is a Epoxy paint and spot they DO this... Ok? B /... that is will Dealing OLDER Hardware... but this will "Correct" any BIO's flash error messages... Ok? B )
First lets get the file... ?.BIN for your MB(revision) #(none-indicated)

Sorry where was the revision number? On the physical MB or do you mean the BIOS version?

Here is a screen capture from CPU-Z. There are two Rev. Numbers on there.

Sorry what am I downloading? The BIOS .CAP file?

Downloading BIOS versions from "https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/Z170-PRO-GAMING/HelpDesk_Download/" dowloads a .ZIP file. Example: Z170-PRO-GAMING-ASUS-1805.zip
Unzipping that file gives me a .CAP file. Example: Z170-PRO-GAMING-ASUS-1805.CAP
