Realtek HD Audio - ASUS X555UF - no external speaker recognition

The Realtek driver does not recognize external speakers when plugged into the 3.5mm jack. Headphones are recognized when plugged into the 3.5m jack.
I don't see a fix for this as Realtek has no option nor does W10 or ASUS.
Is there another HD product which will work?

Hi,

What kind of speaker are you trying to hook up with your laptop? Is a powered (meaning the speaker requires power) or non powered (no power needed but only works with old PC or other desktop PC). Since it's working using your headphone with in the same 3.5mm port that means it's a proof that your laptop is working just fine and it could be the speaker that you're using that has an issue.
