Realtek HD Audio

I bought a new headset and my computer won't recognise the microphone.

I went to open up Realtek Audio and realised it is no where on my computer, not control panel or on device manager.

I have tried installing the driver from the Realtek website, from the Windows Catalogue and various other places a million times and it is not working.

Can anyone help me? 🙁

Also, if anyone knows how I can get the headset microphone working without this software that'd be good as well

The following thread describes what I've done so far:

Solution
Depends what MB you have and what version of Realtek it's equipped with. The last two variants of Realtek HD Audio are ALC1150 and ALC1220. With either of those you won't find the drivers on Realtek's site. You have to get it on the download page of your model of MB on the MB manufacturer's site.

ASUS even has their tech combined with ALC1220 on some of their MBs, which is called s1220a. What brand and model of laptop do you have? I tried to access both of the attachments in your posts in that thread but only one would open. The 2nd shows your Laptop model in Device Manager, but when I Google it I get nothing.
