Question Realtek Issue

Restarted my computer on the 24th of February 2022. Since then my realtek has disappeared from my computer and I have followed every piece of advice to get it back onto my computer (uninstalling and reinstalling etc) HOWEVER;

1. Uninstalling + reinstalling did not work.
2. Clean installation of Windows did not help.
3. If I try to add as a legacy, it blue screens my PC.

Please help as I can no longer use my audio jacks without realtek.

Are you working with a desktop or a laptop? Can you check and see what your BIOS version is at the time of writing? Use CPU-Z to show you that bit of info. As for the clean install of your OS, what version(not edition) of Windows 10 are you on? Where did you source the installer for your OS?

Hi!

I'm working with a desktop.

My BIOS version is "American Megatrends Inc. 0401, 02/21/2018" according to my system information + CPU-Z.

As for clean installation, i'm not sure which version I did as my brother did it for me - but my version that i'm on right now is "Windows 10 Pro Version 2004 - OS build 19041.1415"

I had the same issue. Poof! Realtek Audio disappeared. Tried all options.

Then downloaded this file from Intel:

Realtek* High Definition Audio Driver for Windows® 10 & Windows 11* for Intel® NUC8i7BE, NUC8i5BE, NUC8i3BE Products.

Installs the Realtek* High Definition Audio Driver for Windows® 10 & Windows 11* for Intel® NUC8i7BE, NUC8i5BE, NUC8i3BE Products.

Ran Setup

Perfect! Everything back to normal
