Hello, i already posted about this but i forgot to add some details:
I recently bought an i5 7600 and because of bios issues i had to swap it with another cpu and then swap it again.
The thermal paste on cpu and heatsink look just fine, it has that "wet" look just like when i installed it, to me it looks like the paste would work just fine even after removing the heatsink for 5 minutes. The new thermal paste is coming anyway and i will be reapplying it for good measure, but will my cpu fry if i boot my pc and fire up some games?
Also, i removed the heatsink from my old cpu too, i never had any thermal issues as it never went above 70°C while playing quite heavy games. I'd love to hear from some of you definitely more expert people, thanks in advance.
UPDATE: I played for 2 hours straight and the highest temperature was 61 degrees celsius, so yeah, i'll reapply the paste for good measure but honestly i doubt i will change anything.
