Rear audio ports bad sound ASUS Z97-c

I've been using the front audio ports for my pc since i bought it 2 years ago and the audio was just amazing, i never even tried the rear ones until now that the front ones stopped working, don't know why, when i decided to try the rear ones i noticed that the sound is terrible compared to the front ones, it sounds muffled and low, is there something i can do about it? is the rear audio on this specific motherboard just that bad? i would like to know if you guys have any input on this, i would really appreciate it.

well thats not possible you are using the green port right? check the software setting green port and select output to headphone or front panel

Hello thx for replying, what exactly do you mean that's not possible? yes i am using the green port although im not quite sure what you mean by selection output to front panel, i'm using the realtek drivers, should i uninstall them or do something with them you mean?
