Hello, I have a Lian Li LANCOOL 215, and I'm facing an issue with the rear fan. Sometimes, it runs slowly and makes a disturbing noise, and it stays like this for hours. Then suddenly, it speeds up, and the noise goes away, but after a while, the problem comes back intermittently. I have attached an illustrative image to show which fan I am referring to.

fan's bearings are known to fail and cause issue like what you're facing.
there is really no way to fix them, can't just oil them like other types of bearings.

just get a nice 140mm to replace it.
Thank you for your response. Regarding the rear fan, the official website for the case states that the rear fan is 120mm, not 140mm. Shouldn't I buy a 120mm fan instead, or am I misunderstanding something? Also, do you have any product recommendations for a replacement fan?

this case supports up to 140mm in the rear.
in their image you provided you can even see the outline of the vent and the fittings for 140mm.

a 140mm can move more air at lower speeds, so produces less noise than a 120mm variant of the same model.
do you have any product recommendations for a replacement fan?
there are many very nice options available these days.
more manufacturers have started putting more into their cooling products so there's lots of variety for higher airflow, higher air pressure, and lower noise.
along with different colors and LED effects, if that matters.

i stick with be quiet! Silent Wings
and Noctua iPPC versions.
