Hi tom's hardware,
I've google'd my problem for a very long time now to see if anyone has had a similar problem.
Although there are lots of threads regarding my subject issue, however there is no solutions that works for me. So I figured I'd try my luck.
I'll try to make a long story short. (apologize in advance for wall of text):
I wanted to resize my C partition so I downloaded a program called Partition Magic. Being ignorant to warnings about compatibility, I tried it out. It wanted to fix something I don't remember, I said ok, and all the sudden all my partitions and data on them was gone EXCEPT C.
I went into Device Manager and recovered my partitions by formatting them.
Then I downloaded another program called EaseUS *something*, and this time the partition resize went as planned. In order to finalize the resize I had to reboot, so I did.
During the reboot I got the message "Reboot and select a proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press any key".
I put my Windows 7 CD into the drive to boot from that instead without luck. Still the same message.
Up to this point I've tried everything that comes to my mind. I've tried switching to another harddisk (although the other harddisk is in pretty bad shape) but still the same.
I downloaded SeaTools and did a Full Erase on my harddisk. Did not help either.
I made a bootable USB and burned Windows 7 on it. Still the same.
It pretty much seems like my computer refuses to boot from anything.
