Reboot and select proper boot device

Hello,
So I just built a new gaming pc today, and I haven't installed an os yet and plan on doing it with from a usb. I turned on my computer to make sure everything was working okay, and the message that popped up on the screen was reboot and select proper boot device..., and every time I click a key the message just repeats. I'm not sure what to do and was wondering if you guys could help.

Ok but don't I need to change the boot settings so that it will boot from the usb instead of the hard drive?

put your usb stick in and start installing windows. reason due to what they said above ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Maybe. What does it say in the BIOS now?
In any case, you have no OS. You need to boot from a USB or DVD, and install the OS on the hard drive.
