Rebuild of PC

i just completely updated my system from an old E6600 Intel processor. i Currently am running a asus M5A99X EVO 2.0 Motherboard a AMD 6300 processor 16 gig of g skull sniper 1866 mhz ram and a 240 segate ssd with a wd 1tb hd and a 550ti and a corsair CX500M power supply: i want to put 2 R290x video cards in this pc but i know im gona need a new power supply i was wondering if i could run my old 500w modular power supply for just the video cards
