Yes you can put a wifi access point or a router on that Cat5 for wireless signal in the shop. If your cat5 is from your router then you only need an access point.
HI,I had a hunch it will not work,the LAPTOP only has a HDMI and VGA hook up connection,my other PC'S have CAT5 connections.
I can run a CAT5 connection to shop but do not think there is a way of making CAT5&HDMI,VGA work

I have a CAT5 cable out to the shop right now if i understand this right i can hook up my CAT5 cable WI-FI- setup and receive a better signal is that right

HI,I have not gotten a access point just,but reset modem and now i have signal to LAPTOP we will see how long this will last.
It still might be a good idea to get access point anyhow.
