The touchscreen and mouse capabilities on my Toshiba Satellite laptop have ceased working since the latest Microsoft update a few days ago.How do I resolve this?

Solution
Can you get a USB mouse to work? If you can, I would use it to get into Windows and download your laptop drivers from Toshiba website and install them. Windows may have installed drivers through Windows Update that aren't working correctly.

You can also view and uninstall specific problematic Windows updates and afterwards hide them with a tool from Microsoft: https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/help/3073930/how-to-temporarily-prevent-a-driver-update-from-reinstalling-in-window

so they will not automatically redownload.

If you can't get a USB mouse to work, I would try booting safe mode.
