Recently built PC wont start at all

The only signs of life is when i plug in everything, turn on the power suppy, and press the power button, there is a split-second flash of all the led's in the system. I tested the power supply, and it works just fine. What component could be the cause?

Check the standoffs if correctly installed between case and motherboard and make sure that the case fans are connected either to motherboard, or to power supply, but not to both.

Thank you so much!! you nailed the problem, i plugged the fans into the psu and mobo at the same time.Now, i unplugged it from the mother board and it started right up.
