I just bought a new motherboard (gigabyte H110M- DS2) and a 6th gen i5. I installed it into my pc myself but I'm not sure where I should put in the power and power LED cords. I tried to follow the manual. I put the LED cord in the right places but it doesn't work and I put the power cord into the right place and it works but then after a few seconds it will turn off and then on again and off. I need to know where I should plug in the power switch and LED switch so it can work.

Solution
Power and reset don't matter only LEDs do. Youcan connect them like you want, they are only 2 cables that connect 2 pins with a switch between them, the same can't be said for LEDs because they are diodes, power can run only in one direction.

8 pin power and LED. Intel i5 6400 and a Kingston hyper x fury black 4gb 2133 mhz ddr4

The 8-pin ATX must be plugged in at the top part of the mobo (around the CPU socket). While if by LED you mean the front panel power led ir hdd led, it should be connected to one of the pins at the bottom (the weird multi color pins you connect the power button to).

What about the front panel power and reset plugs? Positive to positive or positive to negative and vice versa
