Recently upgraded processor on PC, now no longer boots

Yesterday, I bought a new i7-6700k for my PC to replace an outdated processor, the Athlon X4 860K. So, I replaced my old processor with a new processor and a new motherboard but now it no longer works. I tried removing the back panel for the new motherboard which resulted in the PC turning on but having no signal. Then I tried rearranging the cords but that only brought me back to where I started, where the PC no longer boots.

Is there any readily apparent fix?

Simple test - put everything back with the original CPU and motherboard. It may be as simple as the fact that your old system drive won't boot in the new system, since too much is different. Or it may be because something got broken in the transition. So let's do the surest test first, by putting everything back.

Try it again, but only using the 16GB kit of RAM in slots 2 and 4.
I'd also upgrade your PSU if I were you, I wouldn't feel comfortable with that unit!
You also need to reinstall Windows, but that shouldn't stop you from booting.

Changes of that level often require a full reinstall.

So, to answer the three current questions presented. I'm currently using Windows 10 Pro.
I know the original parts that I have work since I just tried them, I'm thinking there might be just a slight fault somewhere and I can't tell if there's a fault that is either an easy or not so easy fix. I haven't gotten around to upgrading the PSU yet, but when I had it turn on the machine, I know it wasn't at fault. Of course down the line I could upgrade it.

Also, if necessary I can provide pictures showing the layout of the internals.

Changing from the Athlon X4 860K to the i7-6700k probably dictates a new OS install.
Nothing to do with bad parts, or PSU replace.

Reinstall the OS with the new hardware.

You could try booting from your OS install disk and doing a partial reset (Keep my stuff), but no guarantees.

Much better to prepare for if you actually need to do a whole wipe and reinstall.

So, as of right now, I switched my motherboard with the old one, putting on the essentials. It turns on but I'm receiving no signal to actually do anything. Any ideas as to what to do?

I'm also going to assume this simply due to the fact that the fan blades for the GTX 960 are only occasionally spinning, as well as the fact that I'm not receiving any output from it. Well...you need to fix one thing at a time, hardware or software.
Have any experience with Linux? Even a little bit?

Create a Linux LiveCD.
Boot from that.
This is just to test the hardware. We're not installing this, just booting and running from a DVD or USB.

I don't really have any experience with Linux however that could be a step towards getting this machine to working order. I'll come back after a slight break, but when I get back i'll try to do what you say.

I'm back after putting in the new motherboard. It turns on now, but it's as I said previously, where there's 'no signal'. I think i'll just go to some tech place such as Micro Center to see if they can see what the problem itself is, rather than just have an amateur computer enthusiast like me attempt to fix the problem. Still, thank you guys for suggesting ideas which did actually result in some progress being made.
