Recomemdations needed please

Hello I have an Inspirion 570 with an upgraded video card and psu. I want to next upgrade my processor to cut down on lagtime during gaming and general usage. What would be the best option that my computer can handle? Currently have stock Athlon II 3GHz. Thank you in advance

I think you are looking to get a new system as in a new CPU, mobo and RAM. Not much you can do with such an old platform you have now.

Thank you but looking to upgrade from current mobo. If that is not possible what mobo ram and cpu do you recommend. My preference would be the processor upgrade only. Im not looking to have the best tower just better than what I currently have
