Hello everyone.

i hope someone could help me with this. atm im looking for router. that are perfect for gaming and streaming and watching Netflix. atm i got a netgear WDR4500. but i dont think it cant handle my fiberic 100mb download and 100mb upload. i always get pixel when im on my PS4. im gaming alot on there and im streaming alot on twitch on the PS4.

im been looking at the Asus RT-AC68U and the Asus RT-AC87U mosltly. but i dont know which one to pick. is there others out there that is good ??

atm i got a 100mb upload and 100mb download on my boardband.

i really hope someone could help me out pick a really good router for me and thanks btw for your help.

Either of those two are fine. I honestly don't believe you have to spend that much money for a router to get a good one. I currently use a Netgear WNDR3700. I have 4 gamers in my house with a 100Mbps up and down from Cox. I have yet to run into any issues with network speeds over the last 3 years.

Your best investment may be to find a way to get your ps4 cabled to the router. It is highly unlikely your current router is too slow cpu wise and is causing issues. The new router you link are faster but their main feature is 802.11ac. Your PS4 only runs on 2.4g so it can not even think to use any of the new abilities these routers. Your problem is likely interference on the 2.4g band which a new router will not solve. You can only try to use other channels check 1,6,11. You also can try setting it to use only 20mhz which reduces the chance of interference because now you only attempt to use 1/3 of the bandwidth on the 2.4g band rather than 2/3.

That is extremely strange. The test results at sites like small net builders show your current router should be able to pass more than 700m from lan to wan ports.

Your problem must be something other than raw capacity of the router. Maybe try a firmware upgrade on the router and see if you get lucky.
