Would like to ask as the last time I was into pc was win R5 3600 was the most worth it middle range at that time and ryzen was better than intel.
now would like to ask to recommend a budget and powerful build for around USD 530 to USD 633 including monitors.
have no bias on intel or ryzen. any best budget would do.

Uses
  • would probably game but not so high end, probably 1080p only.
  • would need at 27 inch monitor
  • casing would prefer have usb 3.0 on top probably 1 to 2 port. ( If unable to find it's okay, not so important)
  • for ram I guess 2x8gb ? ( not fan of RGB) or 2x4GB ?

Would like to know the full spec and modal of the processor, graphics card, casing ram, ssd , HDD etc.
Thank

ps : it will be my first time gaming, the last game I played was Dota 1. Would like to get the best experience 😀

Are you shopping in the USA? Sounds like you're doing a currency conversion. If we know where you're shopping, we can better assist with available products in your country.

A 27" 1080p monitor is going to cost about $175 (USD), so that only leaves $450 for a tower.

yeah i doing a currency conversion. ( ps how do you know tho?)
I am actually from malaysia. And the price actually inflates quite abit compare to last time.

633 USD isn't a round number most people would use for a budget. 3000 ringgit is.

Going to have to find system integrators with product available in Malaysia.

I'm not sure if you're going to fit a graphics card into this budget without severely sacrificing other aspects that are better spent to get something more long-lasting (500+GB SSD, 16GB RAM, etc). Could be better to go for a Ryzen 5600G and use the integrated graphics while you save up for a dGPU down the road. The only thing to be careful of is the PSU in that situation. Shoot for a 550W PSU if you can.

If on a budget, if you’ve still got the ryzen system you previously mentioned, you could likely update the bios and drop a ryzen 5000 series cpu into that pc.

Erm, this is a entire different build, building a new one.
I not planning to upgrade in the features, so was wondering what's the best processor + graphics card. i think for the casing can be opt out,
The main should be processor + graphic card + ram + ssd.

I would like to have a dedicated GC as I would like to try light gaming on this one.

Basically there isn't enough money to find a system that includes a discrete graphics card.

They don't really make low end GPUs anymore, and anyone selling completed systems with remaining older GTX and RX cards are marking them up to make a hefty profit.

If you aren't interested in piecing together a system yourself from the used market, your best choice is going to be a pre-built with a Ryzen 5600G or an older Ryzen 3200G. Onboard Vega 7 and 8 graphics is suitable for low-medium setting gaming at 1080p.

Ok...Lazada sucks. I have no idea if this stuff is right/legit, but I'm posting the links cuz I just spent over 30 minutes looking this up.

MSI B550M-Pro = RM370
Ryzen 5500 = RM570
8GB DDR4-3200 = RM130 (would be nice to get a 2x8GB kit
WD SN570 500GB = RM240
RX 5600XT = RM700
FPS Hydro GE 550W = RM230
Aopen 27HC5RP 27" 1080p 144Hz = RM740
TOTAL = RM2980

This obviously isn't a pre-built machine (this is the pre-built forum). Assuming the prices are legit (currency conversion to USD seems close, except for the GPU which seems too cheap to be true), this at least gives you an idea of what your RM3000 budget can buy.

Well done. There is at least one affordable GPU out there.

No chassis or OS though, no peripherals. You can run windows in trial mode indefinitely if you don't mind the watermark. Cheap keyboard and mouse set can be had for pretty low prices generally. You probably already own a headset or earbuds.

keyboard, mouse, speakers/headphones, OS weren't mentioned in the OP. Chassis was taken off the table in post #6.

I'm just happy I was able to throw a dart into Lazada and get almost exact on the given budget. That website is a dumpster fire.

In the end, I assume Molly1_2 is looking for a pre-built, so it was mostly a wasted excercise.

With your budget, you might be better off finding a used prebuilt workstation, and slapping a gpu in it. LTT has done some videos on it. You might also want to check out Tech Yes City. He is really good at low budget setups.

+mobo+PSU+27" monitor...

Would you be shopping at Lazada or somewhere else? Can you provide websites you're shopping on?

Hi Everyone, Thanks for the reply :)
Sry, was busy during the weekdays on work and overtime, unable to checked the reply.
Actually I am buying all the parts and building it on my own.
I posted here in pre-build form, as I unable to find the correct category sadly 🙁
I guess I could spend an extra more to the build, around RM3000 - RM4000 ish.

Is ryzen better for gaming then Intel ??
RX 5600XT
Ryzen 5500

For the processor, graphic card and monitor, I can top up a few ringgit to get the better one ( but budget of course)

I would mind spending slightly more on getting as I won't be upgrading any of the parts in the future..
As I building this for my retired parents, for them to play some gaming (To remember their childhood) and enjoy the fullness of watching drama and movie etc.

Yeah Lazada is the place that i am buying.

Things that I already have
  • Mouse , keyboard, speakers..
  • For chasis , I can look for my own ( means it is excluded from the RM3000-RM4000 budget)
  • For OS I can install myself (Software installation is not an issue)
  • primary focus would be the processor , Graphics card and Monitor.
  • For the Ram, if it is intel processor, I think only 2600mhz is more than enough, as Intel cant go more than 2600mhz. If it's ryzen processor I would say 3200mhz is the minimum, and 2x8GB kit ?

Depends on what ryzen and what intel you are looking at. The r5 5500 is ok, but not as good as even a 10th gen i5. Intel can use ram over 2600, in the case of 10th gen on a Z490, B560 or Z590 board, same for 11th gen. 12th gen can with any compatible board. 2666 will actually hold back performance, as shown in GN's 10400 review. You are going to want 3200mhz ram, regardless.
