Recommend new wireless adapter card for home-built?

I have maybe a 7-10 year old modem that I've been using in my home-built computer. (D-Link Airplus G DWL-G510 Wireless PCI Adapter (rev.B). Modem is pretty old, plus my computer has been unstable since I built it 2 years ago, so I figure I might as well buy a new modem that actually has current drivers, and maybe I'll get lucky and it'll become more stable.

Asus Micro ATX Mother Board FM2
HDD: WDC WD10EARX-32N0YB0 ATA (Western Digital 1TB hard drive)

Terminology - the 'modem' does not exist inside your PC.
The modem is the little box that connects directly to your ISP. Your PC connects to the 'modem', either via an ethernet cable, or WiFi.

You are looking for a WiFi device, maybe?
