[SOLVED] Recommendation of monitors for me?

Long story short my old monitor died. She lasted me almost 12 years and held strong. However, It's time for a new one and I have no idea what to look for.

1. What Is Your Country Of Origin?

USA

2. What do you plan to do with this monitor? (ex. Games, Movie Watching, Photo Editing, etc.)

Gaming

3. What resolution and screen size do you want?

Isn't it the higher the resolution the better the picture? So in a sense wouldn't any individual seeking out a gaming monitor want the highest resolution possible depending on their budget and screen size preferences?

My last monitor was 1920x1080 and i believe 27inch wide.



4. What refresh rate do you want? (ex. 60 hz , 70 hz.)

No idea? Last monitor had 60hz.

5. How much are you looking to spend?

My budget is 300.00 and under.

6. Brands Preferred (ex. Samsung, Acer, Asus, AOC, HP, Viewsonic, etc. )

HP was my last monitors brand, which displayed a good picture and held strong for many years. Open to any suggestions.

9. How Many Displays Can Your GPU Support Maximum? And what GPU and driver version are you using if applicable?

No idea. I'm using an NVIDA Geforce GTX 1660

10. What Port Do You Want To Connect To (ex. DVI-D, HDMI, etc).

I believe HDMI is the best, so that would be my preference.

11. Is This Monitor A Primary Display Or A Secondary Display?

12. Is This A Secondary Display For A Laptop?

Yes the higher the resolution the better the picture however if your gaming you need some pretty high end hardware to keep 60+FPS on newer AAA games @4K for example.

Have you considered a 21:9 Ultrawide? Quite a few games support that ratio and it definitely brings more immersion into gaming. Also even though this monitor is Freesync it should work with your Nvidia GPU if you use a DisplayPort cable and follow the directions below.

This would have the same PPI as a 27" 1080P monitor. The 29" version would have an increased PPI, a little higher then a 24" 1080P.
