[SOLVED] recommendation or a USB Wifi adaptor or alternative

I'm moving and getting cable internet. The coaxial cable isn't where I plan to set up my PC so instead of ethernet connection to the modem/router, I'm considering a USB Wifi adaptor. It'll be in the same room, so range isn't really an issue. I plan to game and download games off of GOG and Steam so I'd like a reasonable amount of speed. The internet service is the basic, Xfinity (advertised at 100 Mps) but I may upgrade if it's laggy.

Any suggestions of an adaptor or another way to go? Thanks all!
