Hello There.

Currently I have a AMD Radeon A8-6600K CPU and the stock cooler that came with it has sadly died so I'm in desperate need of a new cooler. The problem is I'm not sure of a cooler that would be appropriate since it needs to support the TDP of my CPU (I learnt about that yesterday after buying a cooler that wasn't good enough for my CPU...)

Basically I need a cooler that is going to support my CPU and isn't too big, about 8cm, 9cm maximum really though 9cm isn't massively ideal.

Would someone possibly be able to recommend a CPU cooler for this job?

Solution
Its a stock amd cooler mount , it fits any amd board right back from fm1,am2.

Cables ? That PSU is top mounted ??

Buy a few zip ties from b&q , wilko or the pound shops.(even a few bread bag ties will do the job)
Tie them together & shove them into one of the drive bays

& yes the cooler is better than the stock one , not massively so (maybe 5c under load less)

A hell of a lot quieter though !!
The little stock and 70mm fan relies on 4000rpm speeds to keep the CPU cool , 92mm fans (like the one on the alpine) top out at half that.

Maybe I'm just measuring incorrectly then XD which is most likely true.

Would you suggest me buying that cooler then? the latest one you suggested?

If it's better then my stock cooler and quieter then my stock cooler then I'm happy

I think I've mainly just got to do some cable management first then as my power supply came with tons of different cables that I basically just have lying around in my case

Are you sure that cooler will work though? My socket is FM2 and I can't find anywhere saying it supports that socket.
