I've a zalman 400w PSU (ZM LE-400) which I used for a year. A 750 ti (1gb) is installed in its PC. If I'm about to switch the gpu to an improved one. What GPUs could you recommend for Zalman 400W PSU ?

Solution
Gtx1060 can pull @ 120w. Cpu is anywhere from 50-100w, rest of the pc is anywhere from 50-100w on average. So that's @220w to 320w on the 12v rail. With that psu, you'd need to be on the short side for sure, with absolutely no OC whatsoever on either cpu or gpu. If the cpu is an i7 or fx 8 series in a decent sized pc, I'd stick with a gtx1050ti with no additional power connections, if it's an i3 or locked i5 or other low power needs cpu in a basic pc, the 1060 will work. Forget amd gpus, you can add another 50-100w on that figure to get similar performance.

If you get a GTX 1060, don't get one that is factory OC'ed or requires more than a 6-pin connection. I may have to renege a bit and say that your PSU is marginal for the GTX 1060. It will work, but it will be maxed out all the time the card is hitting 100% usage.
