Question Recommended PSU?

Hi guys, my current system specs are listed below
CPU: Ryzen 7 3800X (Stock)
CPU Cooler:Corsair H115i PRO
GPU: Asus GTX 1080 Ti ROG (OCED to 2075Mhz)
RAM: 16GB G.Skill Ripjaws 3600 Mhz
SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 500GB
HDD: Seagate Firecuda 2tb SSHD
CASE: Rosewill Cullinan V500 RGB

I wanted something that was around 1000 Watts and 80+ Gold minimum, fully modular. I use my pc mostly for gaming but am getting into video editing. My budget can be anywhere from $150 to $250 USD for a PSU. My current PSU is my Corsair RM850x from like 2014, it has been doing fine still but decided to use that for my other build. Any questions feel free to ask.

You don't need the 1000W PSU for your PC, but it is up to you. Here is our site for the best PSU review. If you want, then buy that 1000W one, Corsair's AX1000 .

have to agree, 1000w is way overkill however there is a really, really good sale from newegg on the Rosewill CAPSTONE 1000M-2 for $90...

FYI this is a top-tier SuperFlower OEM unit...

What would be a good watt while having some future proofing?

You could easily lower it to a 850 watt or even 750 watt PSU without a problem.
