My WD 320 GB hard drive is corrupted...i mean in bios i can see the drive is connected to pc..the name is showing their but the volume shows 0 byte.
Have very importand data saved on it...
Even i tried to connect it to other pc but their also...it is not accessible...when i tried to format it by using windows 7 boot...their also notthing is shown...
I thought the PCB must have got damaged so i replaced it with another wd160 gb hard drive..then also it was not working...
Can i recover my data..ot it is gone forever...??

Solution
Here are two software that I have used with some success. ( http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk and http://www.piriform.com/recuva). There are quite a few out there, some are free, free to try and paid. Recuva is one I like. Have you tried installing the HDD in a working system as a second disk. You may be able to see the files on the disk that way. Does the disk activity light flash?
WD uses several PCB/firmware variants on there drives so you may have gotten a PCB with incompatible hardware. It is doubtful given what you say that you can recover the drive yourself. If you must have the data and can spend a few hundred to a thousand dollars for it, then contact a data recovery service.
