Question Recover data on laptop SSD

I have given up on fixing my laptop and I now hope I can recover my data. I have a working desktop which has an unused D drive. Both PCs are WIN10. My problem is that searches for "SSD card enclosure" bring up stuff that only mention "ssd card". Much reading of questions and answers reveal that they are not suitable.

This pic is from a guide that removes the ssd card from a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro 13 which is what I had. https://guide-images.cdn.ifixit.com/igi/4HGxYbCnKMrWW3KA.large

What will work?

USB M.2 Enclosure is what you would want. BUT, there are different interfaces for M.2 (SATA and NVMe). You need to find the model of your SSD and get the type of interface to purchase the correct enclosure.

Thank you. My searches on 2560 keep bringing up enclosures for 22mm wide. It is not going to fit, right?

Spoke too soon This one?

Review on Amazon says it does not fit

This is false advertising. For those of you wondering if the "Sabrent USB 3.0 mSATA II or III/6G SSD Enclosure Adapter [Support UASP] (EC-UKMS)" fits a 25mm mSATA drive like the description (at the time of this review) says it does...just know that it doesn't. There is no way to affix the drive itself to lie stable against the PCB board which is standard for m2 devices.I've uploaded 2 pictures to this review and as you can see, the m2 drive will not lay flat but sits up loose on the PCB board. The housing then makes direct contact with the flash drive itself...which is no bueno.

I haven't had to read an MSATA drive so I can't provide a hands on recommendation. Maybe somebody else has a hands-on recommendation.
