So I have a old Gigabyte GTX 560 and I took it out of the case today after a really long time (the pc was kept in storage for more than a year). And looking around the gpu, I saw this soldering part which seemed like it is missing a part. I've attached two pictures below, I hope it's easy to understand.

My main question is will that missing part affect the gpu? I dont know when it got knocked off, maybe it was during installation by my dad about 5 years ago or maybe it got knocked off when I took it out a few months ago just to clean it.

Solution
The pictures you show are of the back of the board. There should be nothing on that side of the board between them on that side. It does not appear that there is any damage to your video card at all.

Thank you for your help. Maybe I'm just being over cautious or you probably didnt notice it, but the part im worried about is bordered by those red rectangle inside the yellow circle in the link below. I also bordered 3 other rectangular black blocks which seemed to have the same type of solder points.

I'm sorry for such fuss, but I'm the type who loves to get every little doubt cleared. 😀

Not a problem. Let me elaborate a bit more for you...

What I see is 2 solder spots soldered by mechanical means. That is how they typically look in most cases. If you look really closely you shouldn't find anything sticking out of the solder, which you would find if there had been something there previously that fell off.

There does not seem to be any stress in the solder or any deformity of the solder, which is another thing we would see if something fell off of there. This is why I stated what I did.

I took a look at your last picture, and still don't see anything that would tell me that there was something there.

Edit: Also, one other thing you need to remember....the board that you are using was used not only for your graphics card but also for the GTX 560 TI, which has a few more parts and pieces. So you have spots on your card that are empty, but would not be in a GTX 560 TI.
