Hi all,

I am a gaming PC newbie who bought a pre-made last year that’s been running fine up until recently when it started shutting off randomly while gaming. I tried some quick fixes recommended online including reseating and dusting off my GPU. After doing so, when I try to boot up again I’m getting red lights on “CPU” and “DRAM” on the motherboard. I’m confused because I only messed with the GPU but now I’m getting these red lights and no display on my monitors. I’ve tried removing the “CMOS” battery as a potential solution I saw but that didn’t work.

Any ideas of what could be wrong? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Here’s the PC specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
Motherboard: B550
Ram: 16GB DDR4 3000 MHz
SSD: 1TB NVMe SSD
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti
PSU: 600 Watt 80 Plus Gold Certified
OS: Windows 10

Thanks in advance.

Look in Reliability History and Event Viewer for error codes, warnings, and even informational events that correspond with the random shutdowns.

Start with Reliability History - much more user friendly and the time line format can be very helpful.

PSU: Make and Model? Age ( "last year") Condition: original, new, refurbished, used?
