Just finished building my pc, and when I turn it on, I get a cycle of red LEDs and finally it lands on the boot light. There is no signal to my monitor so I cant get to my BIOS. Tried taking my RAM sticks out, putting one in a slot, and turning my pc back on, repeated for all 4 RAM slots. It didnt work. I know my GPU works because I tested it on a different pc. I think it may be something about my MOBO only being able to run lower mhz RAM which I should be able to change in my BIOS but I cant get there. Ive been on basically every forum and tried troubleshooting for 3 hours with no luck.

CPU: Amd Ryzen 5 1600 (no onboard graphics)
MOBO: MSI B350 Tomahawk Arctic
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200 mhz
GPU: Asus Dual Geforce Gtx 1060 6GB
STORAGE: 1 TB WD
PSU: EVGA 650w Bronze

Solution

You can install your OS (Operating System) to the HDD however you do need access to Bios or the Bios menu screen in order to select the boot device. If there is an issue with the Boot device or the Bios does not recognise it then check cabling and Sata port connections.
Hi waetermite :)

Your MB supports up to 3200Mhz OC RAM however I have found with the AM4 platform it is best to have a tested kit that is listed on the MB QVL. OC RAM generally requires manual changes to DIMM Primary Timing Control and Voltage.
Here is the MB QVL list for Ryzen: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B350-TOMAHAWK-ARCTIC#support-mem-12 Check that they are listed or list the RAM Part Number and I will check.

Are your DIMMs listed and if not then try a kit at 2400Mhz that have been tested. Kits that are listed have been tested and should work out of the box. OC RAM is no guarantee without Bios tweaking.
A Bios update is also recommended for new RAM releases.

Ensure the RAM modules are seated correctly and all cables and connections to your monitor are secure.

All my cables are connected and the RAM is seated correctly. My RAM wasnt on the list (im stupid) so do I need to buy different RAM or is it possible to borrow someone elses compatible RAM, get the BIOS running and then put my ram back in.

Replaced my RAM with 2400mhz RAM and im still getting the same problem? Any other suggestions?

boot light is on everytime? then this problem because no OS in the drive or partition or anything related to HDD

Dont I need my BIOS to install my OS? And i have the usb version.

Same thing happens for both reconnecting and booting with the HDD.

It cycles through all of the LEDs (Cpu, RAM, Vga) and finally stays on the boot LED with nothing except a no signal message on my monitor.

have you try re-assemble everything and assemble it again?

Ill try it tomorrow.

IF by the same problem you mean the BOOT_LED continuously lit, it is an indication that something is wrong with SSD or HDD. It does not tell you the exact issue unfortunately. As you have no access to Bios to tell you if the Drive is being recognised then the drives will have to be tested in another system or swapped out, Cables, Connections to correct Sata ports have to be checked. (try different ports)
I assume you do have the OS installed on your OS drive.?
If so, is this a fresh install of the OS.?

I dont have my OS installed anywhere, should I?

OMG yes, that will be the problem.
At first start during post cycle the Bios will be looking for your Boot device and hence has indicted no OS.

Installation procedure for Windows 10.
Go here and obtain the media creation tool: https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10 and follow the instructions carefully on how to use the creation tool.
Best is to use a USB pen drive.

With the ISO file on your USB or DVD, you need to initially Boot from the media device.
Once a successful instal of the OS is complete, remove the USB and go into Bios to prioritise your media device. In your case your 1TB HDD.

You may want to consider purchasing an SSD drive for faster Boot times. If so do that first.

Any issues, please report back.

Shouldnt i still be able to get to my bios without windows installed? there should atleast be a signal on my monitor right?

Yes you should be able to access Bios by spamming the Delete key during Post.
It varies with different MBs however F2 function key or maybe Esc should give you Boot menu.

If there is not output to monitor then you will have to trace that fault. Check cables and connections and test the monitor for functionality in another system.
If still no go then check the GPU in another system, clean the MB PCIe slots with compressed Air from a canister and GPU terminals with Isopropyl alcohol for possible contamination. Do this with system shut down and no power to MB.
If that proves fruitless then time to breadboard/benchtest outside your tower case and if that is no go then time to RMA your MB. This assumes ofc the PSU is functioning correctly and all power to the MB is OK.

I already replaced my MB cuz the first one was faulty. If I can access my BIOS, would a message come up telling me that I can or do i just spam keys
