Hi there,
I've got a new Z590 AORUS ELITE AX 1.0 that won't POST and the red CPU Status Light illuminates immediately after every power on.
I've tried using the built-in video and an add-in card.
I've tried the chip I want to use, i5-10600k, and an i5-10400 CPU.
I've tried using one and two memory sticks, and two different kinds of memory.
I've tried using two different power supplies.
I've tried removing the battery for 1 min.
I've tried plugging other fans (besides the CPU fan) into the CPU FAN header (while connecting the CPU fan to a chassis fan header).
As far as I can tell, either of those CPUs should be compatible with this motherboard.
Appreciate any additional thoughts.
(I did find a small piece of metal in one of the memory slots. I'm betting one of the pins in there was broken off. Still, that should result in a DRAM error, not CPU, right?)
