Hello everyone,

I have built a new PC and the GPU I chose is a Powercolor Red Devil RX 6700 XT. It's a big card. I found that it was sagging but since this problem was new to me I didn't know that it was dangerous. So I let it sag for like 3-4 days before trying to fix it. The sag was pretty bad I think after comparing it with other pictures.

Then today I tried pulling it up with the PCIe cables. Still sag but better.

And finally I ordered a GPU support bracket and made a provisional fix. I watch carefully that it doesn't touch the fans.

Here's a pic of the PCI x16 port after a couple days of sag. I think it looks okay?

I am very upset that this could have damaged my brand new expensive card. Why do they not send a support bracket included with the card?? It's obviously big and heavy, and they do include it with other models. Would something like this affect an RMA or warranty if I were to need it later?

EDIT: Solved! Bought a GPU support, pics below in thread.

You think so? From what I've read the card has a strong backplate to prevent the board from bending..

I have used this same card in 2 other builds. Both sagged and I used a gpu bracket, They are huge cards and pretty heavy.

Okay, thanks for your replies. They really should have included a GPU bracket with the card. I ordered one and I might receive it tomorrow. I just hope nothing comes from the card sagging for 3 days like that. This is a card that I would like to last for a long time.

GPU sag CAN become an issue, eventually. I had a bit of sag with my reference RX 6900 XT. As you can imagine, with such an expensive card, I wanted to make sure this doesn't become an issue, so I picked up a $10 GPU bracket.

Note, some GPU bracket's 'L' arm is not long enough to use, in the default configuration, with thick coolers but you can just flip the bracket around (have the 'L' screwed into the 2-3 slots below the card instead of the slots the card is using).

Yeah, I ordered one of those little GPU stands or supports with a stick. The card is very long and there's no space to put something below without interfering with the fans. I plan to place it under that last corner with just a tiny bit of space where you could place something to support the card, like in the picture of the "provisional" fix.
